I bought my Hornet X in July '73 when they were still in the old Don Rice Rambler location. It sat in the dealer's window for several months and I couldn;t resist the Trans-Am Red color any longer - so I bought my third AMCand forged it into a racer.

Today, it's been abandoned, and for quite some time. It used to be a Speedy Auto Glass place for a while, but the building has been unused for over 10 years now.
This has to be one of the BEST old dealer photos on this thread!

Thanks Glendale Jim. The roofline gives it away. In my fuzzy memory I was thinking it was on the east side of the street for some reason.

Does that Glendale Jim name mean you knew of Don Rice and later, Division AMC? I never took any pictures there darn-it! I was too busy enjoying the place.

I knew lots of folks there since my first new car, a 1967 Rouge 290 4-spd. My favorites were owner Bob Stange and the parts counter guy, "Booker".
