Here is my second one that I haven't seen on any list. My dad sold here in the 70's and I believe they closed up in the early 80's.

Honaker's Garage
Rt 62
Red House / Hometown , WV

They sold AMC, Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge trucks and at one time International. I spent a good deal of my childhood there when I would go to work with my dad and hang around all day. My favorite time of the year was when the new models came out and I got to change the displays.

Ron,

I picked up a super nice (read no rust), 1969 Javelin California Black plate car in Virginia, still has the Glendale AMC license plate frame!!!!  I can take a pic if you are interested.

I've got one that I haven't seen on any list. My dad worked for AMC dealerships while I was growing up.
Tag Galyean Rambler
504 Virginia St West - At 5 Corners
Charleston, WV

I know they were in business during the late 60's through the early 70's. The building was later a Nissan Dealership and I believe it is now a church. It was either given up or sold to Raines AMC/Jeep in the mid-70's and moved to South Charleston. This one is on many of the lists I have seen. I believe Tag Galyean was also the Rambler dealer in Huntington until it became Don Smith AMC/Jeep. My father also worked at Raines until they gave up the AMC franchise in the mid 80's because AMC tried to force them to take Renault and they didn't want it. Raines is still in business selling Honda and Mazda. There is one more from our area that is not any list that my father worked at and I spent alot of time growing up around but I need to find the address before I post it.

Obviously Glendale had more than one AMC dealership because I have an original window sticker from a '73 Gremlin that was sold from Division American in Glendale, CA.
Sorry it wasn't from Glendale AMC Unhappy

There is however a Glendale Arizona and I have a license plate frame from one of them on my Spirit.  Just because I can.  And I just cleaned out the glove compartment of the Hornet I am working on and found receipts for repairs in it.  I carefully stored them and the owners manual, a key that was flat on one side was in there too. I have no idea what that was for and the Hornet Hood ornament which was missing.
It IS interesting to see the cost of repairs and oil changes.  An oil change in the late 70's would not pay for one quart of oil in 2013. And people paid for things like that with cash, not credit cards.
The dealer on these receipts was different than the other dealer who's name is on the frame.

Hi everyone!

I pulled out my owners manual supplement for 1971 model year.

The seller was Craig Motor Company in St Louis MO. I assume the dealer number was printed below the name.  46-1966

Funny thing the car was built in April 71 and was sold in January 72 to the person I bought it from.
