My 77 Gremlin went for 82,000 miles before being laid away about 15 years ago...It had one older owner...I am going to have the transmission looked at and resealed at a minimum....The flange where the seal fits on the convertor has no wear or grove....Would I be OK to reuse the convertor? Id sure like to knot have to spend the $ on a rebuilt if the factory original is still good...I know nothing about this subject and welcome any advice...Thankyou Bob Reno in alabama

904 converter is pretty tough, but inspect the drive hub carefully for cracks near the base before reuse. Replacements are not expensive, but I suspect not any better than just reusing a good original part. I replaced mine, a 47K mile original, due to a faint crack in the hub, which would leak a drop or two or fluid after use.
