423.5 HP at a comfy 5300 rpm with a laidback hydraulic cam and easy-going 9.5 compression ratio. Spun the engine to 5800 rpm and horsepower stayed in the 420’s. Probably limited to the stock cast iron exhaust manifolds, 750 carb and old torker intake. I have chromed Hooker Super Comp headers and an HLR intake that I might play with. I will scan in the dyno sheet later today. Not sure if I can post a .pdf or .jpeg.

Sounds good. Those numbers are pretty good for a fresh stock iron rebuild. I'm thinking a 360 4v should be cranking out roughly 1.2HP/ci and this is pretty close. I've never been able to determine which intake would be ideal for this engine. I know a 1970 production model feels like a slug when it's getting too much fuel but I've also never had the chance to run one of these without that problem. I'm stuck between the two Edelbrock products: Torker II and Performer RPM Air-Gap. It's a small amount of money to abandon 2v carbs but I don't know if this would present any real world advantage over a stock 4v intake.

Don't even waste your time with the hlr Intake on that engine. Keep the torker

Any intake advice for a 357 experiment? I'm guessing anything stock on a 360 is heavy but that Torker II intake looks fun. Can't help but feel the RPM intake would be more streetable but I've yet to build a V8. Plenty of fun building the L6. I want to shoot for 1.4HP/ci or 500HP absolute peak.
