Lets not forget the 70 up rebels and Matadors H/Ts..big rear overhang, short front overhang. big engine bay and 4 link rear factory suspension that will fit big tires easily. Easy fuel cell in the trunk and has that traditional muscle car look. Can be stripped down to 3200lbs...only problem? Good luck finding one. This one runs 10s

6PakBee, Yes I am talking about the very aero body style with the pointy nose piece. It is truly the love it hate thing for sure. I personally think they are hideous to the point that it makes them really cool and unique and I like them. I remember reading or watching a car show about Richard Petty killing everyone in NASCAR due to the aero properties of the car and thought, "Wow that was a really unique approach"

Now that would be something... I always liked 74 on up Mattys. Would be cool to mod the nose a wisker more and take away the bulging eyeballs, to blend everything in more like the 66 to 67 Toranado. It would be better with aero. There you go a 66 or 67 Toranado... 455 front wheel drive sleek but a freaking tank! They did do fairly well in draggs, But the Olds 455 had its issues. Buick had a better big block for such things. Though I liked the Olds 350. I vote the 74 Matty! cheap, and doable plus how many do you see at the drags? |

Use to have a 70 Rebel - had 8" weld wheels with 29.5 X 10.5 slicks and they fit. Actually still have the 4 wheels and tires that were on the car sitting around here. Hooked great - had solid trailing arms off of the differential instead of the stock ones.
90/10 shocks up front.
