One outstanding engine build ! Post some sound of this baby monster running. Gawd! I’d love to hear it rapping the R’s.

I can’t tell you how cool that is ! I turned my sound system up 3/4 and stood there vibrating with my eyes shut. It was like standing right next to that beauty… did I mention how cool that was?

Time for a couple updates...
Removed the coil-overs in favor of the original Penske design. Went to a 900# Hypercoil race spring, Opentracker Racing spherical bearings on the control arms instead of the stock rubber bushings. I also extended the lower control arm by 1/2" and replaced the stock ball joint with a screw-in type stout ball joint. Had to extend the lower control arm to get more camber for the track. The shocks are made by Vari-Shock, dual adjustable. I also converted to a Mustang spring perch so I could use a readily available spring size rather than the AMC size that is a custom piece and expensive. I used an Opertracker Racing dual pivot spring perch that has it's own pivot mount to eliminate shock binding.

Awesome! Thanks for the great photos. I did a similar update,I switched to a tubular lower arm. I don't need to adhere to any vintage constraints, I'm just trying to be closer in performance to those damn catfish Camaros in the autocross CAM-T class. I started with a standard Moog Screw-In ball Joint. I may change to the QA1 low friction ball joints, you can get various length ball-joint shafts to adjust geometry too. Howe racing has similar units. I'm curious, how much camber are you going to run now?
