I just got my 68’ T-10 back from Liberty Gears and ready to reinstall. Before I do, I want to replace the reverse switch and the shift mechanism rubber seal (as it is called in the original shop manual). I’ve tried every word I can think of in my search and can’t seem to find either part. I’ve come close on the switch, finding one for a Hurst that I think I can make work. The boot, as you can see in the pic is worn out and crusty.
Anyone have a suggestion or solution?
(Apparently the image didn’t upload so I’ll have to ask the techie wife how to do).

Send me the picture and I'll post it for you. There is no equivalent item with the Hurst shifter. It's the '68-early 69 Inland shifter only that uses this rubber insulator. And, I don't know of any source for them. paul.mittermaier@gmail.com Moderator Team Edited by ramblinrev - Jan/21/2019 at 10:41am |

Mopar used that same style shifter from '66-mid '68 and this is the boot that fits those shifters. But something tells me this has been discussed before on the forum and the Mopar boot won't fit the AMC shifter.

Thank you.
I searched the forum and didn’t find any results. I looked at the one on the link you sent and it doesn’t look anything like mine. Judging from the shape, I don’t think that would fit.

H Here's Greg's pictures. I do recall someone else was looking for this boot in the past year on the Forum.

The boot that Greg is trying to find is the lower boot that covers the Inland style shifter mechanism. It is not the boot that is visible from the passenger compartment.
