To start, this is a 72 Gremlin, 401 4 spd.  Using 73-74 401 with stock V8 bell housing and stock 72 V8 3spd pedal linkage.  The T10 is from 1969 with Hurst Comp. plus shifter.

My fork pivot isn't tall enough for the fork to fully engage.  When I put the pedal down I have adjusted,  the fork hits the back of the fork slot in the 8" tall stock bell housing before the throwout bearing hits the clutch.

I have the correct bearing and fork is installed correctly on the throwout bearing.

It was suggested to me that the pivot ball isn't TALL enough.  I need a different one but what one?  I see several listed on www.amxmgs.com

Is this what I want?

Throwout Lever Pivot Bolt (1 1/16" Long)

1972 Gremlin X CA-V8,4spd, Levi.

1969 AMX Regatta Blue and tan.
