If I use hornet lower control arms on a eagle will it lower it?If so does anyone know how much?Thanks for any info on lowering using this method.

Won't work. The Eagle lower control arms are unique to the Eagle. The upper control arms are the same on Eagle and Hornet (et al). You have to use shorter springs to lower an Eagle. Hornet springs are the same height. If you go more than about an inch lower you'll need longer half shafts as well. About 1.5" lower is all you can go. There's a reason Eagles sit up like they do. It's not for off-road performance because they were never intended for off-road driving -- rough road, but not off-road. They sit up for adequate ground clearance and clearance under the car for the 4x4 mechanicals.

If you want to make the Eagle 2wd, you can swap the Concord/Spirit/Hornet engine crossbar and suspension (strut rod brackets, spindles and brakes)
It also will drop a LOT if you cut one coil off (I think the top is same diameter as the second one) Beware that the axle angle change can tear them up if it's too low. |
