Getting nice and far along, I am reassembling my cleaned, repainted, rebushed, with new ball joints, control arms.  Two questions:

1.  On the upper control arms (which seem identical) I replaced the bushings to match how they came out.  One side has a support ring/brace on the inside. Does this go to the front or the rear?

2.  Is there a torque setting for the nuts on the ball joints, or do you just tighted them down until you can get the cotter pins set?

Thanks.

There is almost always a torque specification from the manufacturer.  What is the car, make & model?
