I have run the oil with some Marvel mystery oil in it and i'm going to change the oil again to get that out of the system.
Typically in my V8 cars I run 20-50 oil and was thinking maybe this extra viscosity will help quiet it down and help....Currently it has 10-40 oil in it. Being in Florida I don't have to worry much about cold temperatures and thick oil. Thoughts?

It goes away warm? If so i wouldnt worry any more. Maybe run a ZDDP additive to preserve cam/guides.

Yes only when cold and it goes away fairly quickly...just hate he noise |

Even my newly rebuilt engines will make a little lifter noise when first started due to not running them but every couple of weeks. Not to worry if it goes away within 20-30 seconds or even a minute or two on an older engine
