How do you determine the spring rate on coil over shocks, car came with
ladder bar suspension with air shocks, Would like to remove air shocks and install a set of adjustable shocks with coil overs like it should have, car is a spirit,tubbed,9 in ford, guy said it weighed in at about 2200 lbs but have not scaled it myself. |

The spring rate is either engraved into the end coil or it has a tag on it indicating the rate...
As far as determining what rate you need... you need to scale it 1st... |

IF the shocks are in the rear of car behind axle like most ladder setups a general rule is to scale but most end up at 100-130 lbs or so mine are 150 but my car is kinda heavy.
