On the Jeg's tool I'd put a radius on the end hitting the piston.
I never used anything real fancy, just take the keepers off one valve and use the valve with a dial indicator and stove or copper wire wrapped on the valve stem keeper groove, just in case you want to do a full rotation. Just how we were taught.
