I bought a splash shield kit a few months ago for my 69 Rambler and got the front sections along the inner fender and headlight buckets installed.  They look good.  I have two other pieces that came in the kit and they go on a flange at each outer edge of the back inner fender/cowl as that section can rust through (I fixed the rust on mine when blasting and painting my engine bay).  My TSM is silent as to the placement as they are an odd shape. My paint guy removed my fenders and these cowl splash shields before I could take a picture for my fading memory.  Has anyone ever replaced those two cowl splash shields and, if so, do you know the proper placement?  In other words, does the squared off side point towards the inward side or the outward side? Any advice would be appreciated.  See my two pictures below placing the passenger side piece in both directions for reference.  Thanks.

By the way, the kit came up staples but not enough for the cowl section.  I used the old holes for the upper fender/headlight bucket areas to get the new staples in.  A pain and time consuming.   So on the cowl flange I drilled some small holes and will put some small zinc plated bolts through to connect the shield up to the flange.
