Somebody e-mailed me and asked if I could give them the specific 1969 Amx colors only.I sent them the paint colors available for 1969.He came back with that isn't the specific colors for the 69 AMX.
I didn't know there was specific colors for the 69 AMX.
I thought you could order what you wanted on whats available.
Can anybody help me on this so I know for the future .

Page 16-5 of the 1969 TSM doesn't call out any "AMX only" paint codes.
I think that if you ordered enough cars and had the cash AMC would whip up any color you wanted.

The 1969 product literature I have (Product Sales Information) indicates the following colors available for AMX and Javelin: Matador red, Castilian grey, Beale St. Blue, Regatta blue, Alamosa Aqua, Hunter Green, Frost White, Willow Green, Ponpeii Yellow, Butternut Beige, Bittersweet Orange, and Black Mink.
Other colors such as Ascot Grey, and Surf Green, as used on the Rambler were not listed as available on the AMX and Javelin.

I'd get the black mink with black stripes!
Or frost white with white stripes, less contrast. |

Big Bad cars, 195 Blue---283 Green---284 Orange I know an original owner of a BBB car, the car is imaculate. Another really good friend has a BBO in his garage freshly painted inside & out, I've been trying to get him motivated to finish the project or SELL IT TO ME!!! Big Bad Stripe Option, Black or White.. Fun Cars to Drive!! for my car I opted to go with Turquoise Blue with Pearl White stripes. the body color is non metalic... its a ongoing restoration process, but worthwhile. Dave...
