I also wasn't sure what to think of the wheels at first, and hesitated when plans were being made to sand them down and paint the centers....but....they turned out great!!  Those were selected because they had features that matched the original styling the best, but with more modern sizing.

35 spline Dutchman axles.

.

Strange Nodular Iron 9" with 3.70 gears, Wavetrac differential and powder coated from Dutchman.

The Wavetrac has a lifetime guarantee with a six pinion design that is suppose to be smooth and 35 spline was the same price as the 31.

Parts run in the Rat Rod with new powder coated stuff...

Parts chaser....

Here's are a few picsof the firewall and under side of the car after some work.

Bad spot from previous jacking.  I tried pulling out with with spot weld gun, but it was too ugly.

This is where the roll bar was bolted to previously on both sides.  I pulled out these too, but again too ugly.
Now they are reinforced just like the front portion of the frame (double layered)  and I could jack on them if needed now.

One of my "Lift" sections was salvageable and the other wasn't.
Maybe I should cut out the other too and replace?

The Control Freak rear brackets were a bit wider than the frame and the frame had a few dents in this area from the old racing suspension brackets so we laid a piece for better fitment and strength.

Pics out of order, but wheel tubs getting finished.

I bought a rear hardtop seat last week, but not sure how it will fit yet.

Here's the dies for making the curved edge.

Running the pieces through the bead roller wrinkles the panels a lot that needs to be fixed afterwards.

Shrinking the edge.

After the Shrinking, all better.
