The bronze bushings are working great. By installing these, and repairing the Q shaped hole that the bell crank to throw out rod had worn in the bottom bell crank lever, has removed all of the slop in the set up.  This is good but now I am having a hard time fine tuning the clutch.  I am getting , I believe, a throw out bearing noise, when driving, that was not present before the above fixes. If I touch the pedal with my foot it will go away for a while.  I used a diaphragm style pressure plate and have the clutch adjusted to the TSM recommended free play.  After adjusting it today the trans actually  is going into gear when downshifting better than is has before but I get this noise.  Before I could not get it into 3rd  or sometimes 2nd easily when downshifting without raking the gears. Synchronizers I believe. Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Been following this post. Happened to me at a car show couple weekends ago. Clutch action goes south about the time I want to back up into a spot. Couldn't pick a better time. The inner bushing I bought from a vendor didn't last 500 miles. Got one from APD that is supposed to be like the original and gave it to a machinist friend to carve one out of brass.

I hope your machinist friend works cheap. Can you say "Beer?"
Like the post I put on the second page of this thread states, I got a bunch of flanged oilite bushings from Aircraft Spruce for $6 shipped to me. I put them in the linkage system and it's been working fine for some time now.
