Taking the Ambo for some rust repair to the right rear fender tomorrow.
They'll need to remove the alloy trim that tucks under the bumper.

I can't see how it comes off.

Now, this is a good bodyshop, but I don't suppose they've ever touched a Rambler.

Any tips please?

I have removed at least one set of those gravel guards on a junkyard car but I forget how exactly they were fastened.  I suggest look up inside the wheel well (remove the wheel if you need to) and look for the back side of any fastener clips.  Also with a wooden or soft tool like a plastic molding tool, try prying on the bottom of the molding where if folds under the bottom of the rear quarter.   Joe

The gravel guard was held on with a couple of nuts, would have seen it if I'd taken the wheel off.

Ironically, under the gravel guard there was a small area of rust-through where the guard traps the water.

Anyway, that's been cut out along with the rusted wheel arch, and now that and some other paint is in progress.
