I was wondering if anyone else has here has dealt with Moser axles.
The new one piece axles finally got here.

I'm familiar on the sequence for the backing plates, outer seal, retainer, and the bearing.
There is a thick washer or spacer not sure where it goes???? anyone?

I was also told i need to cut some of the outer seal as well. Another mystery..........geeez........

You would think that Moser $$$ would send directions or the guy i had to go through would know. Heh right......
Anyway, Moser is closed till tomorrow and i'm dying to get these in.

Thanks for any help.

Ring is pressed on last after the bearing.

Got it, thanks.

Anyone know about removing part of the outer seal?

I"m gonna go ahead and make an assumption that Moser wont know either................

I just installed a set into my 70 AMX and did not trim anything.  X2 what PMM said.  Press the bearing on then the spacer ring.  Make sure you have the backing plates on the correct sides.

Yah  if you get the plates wrong ............that would be bad........... thankfully i found a decent machine shop that hasn't screwed anything up.......yet  although they are such pussses , they dont have the balls to take a swing at helping me re-pin the door hinges, and i mean punch them out with a bigger pin.  I tried the kits they had at some of the distributors and guess what..... they suck too.   Why are all these people such *$@# heads?  all i want to do is get a car on the road, yet i get to listen to these "experts" spout a bunch of crap and dont help, advise, or know what the heck they are taliking about.  Seriously, these last 10 years i have had this car i have met some of the coolest AND dumbest People in my life.

My question is ---  Why be a douche bag???   i just dont get it

I know which supplier your talking about. They know all and everyone else is wrong. Can't be their products.
Try Galvin's they are great and very helpful. Calling is best.
I'd be a little worried that a "machine shop" couldn't set up a hinge to get over bored/reamed and a larger pin installed. You can darn near do at at home with a vise, a piece of pipe and a drill. Man I sure am glad I got two sets of AMC pins and bronze bushing before they disappeared.(Or they seem to have disappeared)

How long did it take you to get your set to you after you had sent in your old axles? I am about to get some myself.

All said and done was less than a week IIRC been a few years since I did them on the drag car.
BTW I did not need to trim any thing to make it all fit.
