Give it a try but for some reason the thin wall hose seems to be unumtanium. The local rad shop near me now uses fuel hose that will not fit over the stock radiator connection as it's too close to the radiator.
Napa does not list it any more, or so they tell me.

Last hose I got for my 70 came from the aisle wall rack at oreillys about 6 months ago.
Prestone 5/16 ID #PR 0516 or Prestone 3/8 ID#PR 0308

I haven't checked, but Lowes has an assortment of hose, but not all black. Since everyone needs thin wall rubber... some electronics cables are black rubbery jacketed. Though pulling out multi stranded wires out of 1 meter length just to get the jacket free, may be impossible. I have done 1.5 meter stripping of jacket, but not a full meter. It may work or be impossible.

Found that at AZone and it's only two feet.  Two feet isn't long enough.  Would like a min. of 2.5 ft.

I've been cross referencing and have the following number from NAPA, roll sold by the foot, but would have to be in the NAPA system to get their number:

National Parts Depot lists ribbed radiator overflow hose in a few variations for about $6.
