the parts started showing up today got the hood and hinges 4spd pedals and transmission rocker moldings lots of parts to clean and get painted or powder coated let the fun begin ...here the look I'm gong for

started tearing down the engine she is ruff looking but inside looks really good
.....got the hood today nice and straight did some more wet sanding and buffing the passenger side looks like it will have a great shine to it

Looks like you're making good progress. My eye keeps getting fooled into seeing a gold pinstripe in some of your wet sanding and buffing photos. I imagine one, to accentuate the body line would look pretty good on that color though. Just a thought.

Is that color GM blackcherry that was used on 70 Chevelles? I really like it on the Javelin

I agree. There was a painted pinstripe available from the factory on the 69 Javelins (maybe 68 as well) It was 1/8 to 3/16" wide and ran along the top belt line. It could look good in gold on that car. Try photoshopping it on and see if you like it.

That black cherry does look nice on the car. Thumbs Up
