I used to use the CRC moly paste but became concerned that it would clog things during initial cold startup. I now use Schaeffer moly EP oil additive. It is very clingy and still has high levels of moly. I also run only Schaeffer oil in all my cars which contains the same micron moly.

I am a fan of the Permatex. It's basically the same formulation as most cam break in lubes but thinner.
A $9 bottle will do 3 engines.
Of course it never goes on the sides of the lifters, cylinders or any seals, that's 10W oil.
I use EP1 grease for cam distributor gear, fuel pump, rocker tips and push rod ends. Just make sure the grease you use dissolves in motor oil if you do this, or it could clog the oil filter.

good old stp oil treatment very thick so it sticks to the bearing and rings I once had a amc motor run no oil pressure after a rebuild for a little bit long enough for concern pulled it and no damage to bearing

LOTS OF GREAT IDEAS!

Stage 2, the engine is assembled and in the chassis. What oil are we using? High Zinc for camshaft break in with hyd and solids?  What are the favored additives being used?
PROLONG? MARVEL?  STP?

Welcome all ideas as a discussion topic

My old machinist (God rest his soul) used a home brew concoction of about 25% STP, 25% ATF, and the rest Lubriplate white grease (not the 105 assembly lube).  Mixed up it looked like a strawberry milkshake and was, and is, the stickiest, slipperiest, lube I've ever used.

I use a tube of either CRC or Sta-Lube assembly grease and a Plews oiler filled with engine oil with maybe some STP mixed in.

Nothing special.

Other than new flat tappet cam lube why not use the oil your going to run in it for assy.? Do you not pre-lube the engine before firing it?

Absolutely. the oiling system is primed with an oil pump drive tool before the start up.  After that I have an Accusump which I keep charged up so when it sits for a time I just open the valve and pressurize the oil system before I fire it up. If I am running it hard I keep the gate open and the Accusump is a safety net.

Lubriplate 105 has always been what I've used for rod and main bearings, rocker pivots, etc.
