my 87 Grand Wagoneer wont go into 4x4 mode. The switch works as does the vacuum motor that puts the transfer case in and out of 4x4 but the arm on the transfer case is stuck in 2wd mode. I tried moving it with my hand and it won’t move. I’m afraid to pry too hard on it and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these NP229 transfer cases. I suspect lack of use has took its toll and possibly it is just stuck in 2wD but I’m not familiar with these. I removed the vacuum motor and tested it and it works fine so It’s the transfer case laver itself that’s stuck. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance. Billyzack from Phoenix
