I'm a little late in posting this, but next weekend in Rosemont Illinois the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals (MCACN) will take place at the Donald Stephens Convention Center. This show is the absolute premier muscle car show of the year with the absolute best of the best from every brand.

A few years ago Ram Air Rick and I discussed putting together an invitational display for the show of the best of the best AMC cars, and with the show organizer's blessing, we were off. We thought it might happen last year, but we couldn't commit. We are happy to say that this year we will have a fantastic display of 13 of the finest AMC cars you will ever see.

Of these 13, 6 are fresh fresh restorations being seen for the first time publicly. Almost every car in the display is "new" to the show scene, as well, so this isn't the same old stuff you've seen before. Our display is called "Nash Nutz American and will be in the back center of the show hall.

Accompanying the Display will be a collection of AMC dealership memorabilia and signage. When you walk in the show look for the 12' vertical AMC sign and come say hello!

Rich and I want to thank everyone who puled this together. It was quite a task committing cars from all over the country a year in advance - many of which were incomplete at the time (and some are still being finished up even this weekend). I won't spill the beans on the cars... but suffice to say it is a collection of proper, stock AMC muscle at a such a high quality level that has never been assembled before.

Should be an awesome show as usual. We were there last year with the Matador on display in the lobby and the year before that with the wife's GTO in Day 2. I know that you guys worked hard on putting this together, so i can't wait to see the display. The Randall Gremlin unveiling sounds exciting. Never actually saw one in person. It will be nice to meet some more AMC fans. Stop by the Long Term Owners Display and say hello. I will be there with my red 70 AMX. It will be nice to see you again Tony, glad you can make it. Mike.

It is. When we first went there in 2016 it was overwhelming. So many nice cars and even nicer people. It was worth driving out from New York to attend.

What an incredible show! The Ketchum's and I made the trip to Chicago yesterday to take in the sights and represent the Farmguys Race Team contingent. As always, it was great to see Ram Air Rick and the gang, and also put faces with some names from the forum. Well done to Ian (Happy Birthday btw !) and all involved with the "Nash Nutz" display!! The amazing quality of AMC's in attendance this year will be tough to top. Here are a few of my pictures, unfortunately I missed pics of some of the AMC's (there was so much to see!)

Here are a few others. I counted 6 Boss 429 Mustangs. The Hemi Super Stock display was cool. The "barn find" section got alot of attention. Many "winged cars" too. Even a big group of the "Pure Stock Drag" cars on display. Check out the hood graphics on the prototype Hust/Olds, looks familiar!

Agreed. There were actually TWO SS/AMX's at the show! The AM"X"citer (Billy Cool, fresh out of long term storage) in the "barn find" section, and Rodekopf Motors in the AMC display.

My first time attending and I hope not the last.  Absolutely amazing show!  If you ever get the chance you don't want to miss this one.

Big thanks to Rich, Ian, and everyone involved in the AMC display.  Thank you for allowing us to be a part of it. Got to meet a couple of forum members and spent the weekend with just great bunch of people.  The show is about the cars but it is even better when you're surrounded by such a great group.

I even think everyone's hearing returned to normal after Kevin's blood curdling scream.  Everyone in attendance knows what I'm talking about! Big smile

You had to remind me!  LOL  Still having nighmares over that one, hated to be "that guy"!

Not sure if the model car or the hanging (potentially full?) bucket in the ceiling was worse!

I had a wonderful time.  Car is back safely after hitting snow again on the way home!!!

Once again, we had a great time at MCACN.  It is definitely the show of all shows.  We met some great people at this show over the years. Here are a couple of pics of my car which was in the Long Term Owners invitational display.  The car has been in my pole barn in storage from 1985 to summer of 2018.  First time it has seen daylight in 33 years.

I bought those tires in 1981. 235/60-15 front and 275/60-15 in the back. The last time i drove the car was  late summer of 1985. Was in my moms garage  till 1992, then towed it up and stuffed it in the back of my pole barn. Been there since. Pulled it out in August 2018 and washed it. Cleaned up pretty good.
