I have acquired the loan of a NOS set of 3rd generation "American" Gas Tank Straps. Will be bringing them to market soon.

The same company that produced the Rebel/Marlin/Ambassador/Matador straps will be fabricating the American one's as well.
This company is the one that makes modern car straps for Spectra premium so they'll be done right.

I'll make an official announcement as soon as the production run is completed.

What years does 3rd generation cover?  66 thru 69 had a single strap, not a set.

Well, they say you learn something new everyday and I've learned something more about AMC that I didn't know before.
This has been and continues to be a learning process for me.

I've been asking around for a sample American gas tank strap and I might have a line on one; here's hoping.

Thanks for the timely information, it's saved me from taking a wrong turn.

Is the strap same for 64-65 and 66-69? I know the tank is different
