Hi all,
Suddenly the glove box located lift gate electric release stopped working. All wires are sound. Anyone know how I can test the solenoid that is mounted in the lift gate to see if there is a short?

A simple electrical meter would be a good start.
Test for voltage at the fuse and at the switch. Check the switch.
Disconnect the fuse and look for resistance. The fuse size should give you a ballpark resistance reading you should be seeing. Fuse usually being twice the normal current so 14 V/1/2 x fuse amperage.
Start at the switch and work back.
If all is good then try jumpering in a battery (with fuse) to stoke the solenoid.
If you have power, the solenoid works and switch work then have to check each wire segment for continuity.
Sometimes corrosion will still show voltage and resistance but will not pass along enough current to operate a solenoid. Then you just have to jumper out sections at a time until it works. The jumpered section will have to be replace if you cannot find the failure point.
