hi, having a bit of trouble finding a new or rebuilt 82+ Sanden SD508 compressor, with the 2 V belt pulley. the common replacement is the CP508, which will work, but, the pulleys are about 3/16" out of line with the rest of the belt train.
Questions:
Did AMC use a unique pulley spacing?
Anyone have a source? Know a good rebuilder?
Anyone have a rebuildable core for sale?

Cars in question are 84 Eagle sedan, and 77 Hornet AMX, the last getting the "modern" Sanden upgrade

thank you, gentlemen.   gz

FYI,

The Sanden "Style" compressor is a chinese copied repop. Under $100.

The other one is the real deal over $300.

I've been running one of the "Style" compressors in the White70 for several years now. If I would have realized what it was before I bought it I may have chosen not to. But so far it's been OK.
