The 13th Annual Las Vegas AMC Reunion will be held on November 2-3, 2018 in Boulder City, NV.  The show is hosted by the Southern Nevada AMC Club, a chapter of the AMC/Rambler Club. It is open to all AMC, Rambler, Nash, Hudson, Metropolitan, ’79-’87 Renault and ’70-’87 Jeep. In 12 years, our show has become one of the largest regional all-AMC shows in the country.

I'm happy to announce that the show will again be held at the Hoover Dam Lodge (www.hooverdamlodge.com). For those of you who may not have been here before, the Lodge is located just minutes from Hoover Dam and is the only hotel inside the Lake Mead National Recreation Area plus you get a great view of Lake Mead. It's the perfect venue for a car show. There are discounted room rates for show attendees. You are strongly encouraged to book your rooms as soon as possible. The code is AMC2018 (you must mention the code to get the discounted rates). Call 1-800-245-6380 to make your reservation.

For more information, post a message here or contact club President Larry Daum (mramc@risebroadband.net or 775-513-8112).

We'll see you in November. VEGAS BABY!

The 13th Annual Las Vegas AMC Reunion is fast approaching! It will be held on November 2-3, 2018 in Boulder City, NV. It is open to all AMC, Rambler, Nash, Hudson, Metropolitan, ’79-’87 Renault and ’70-’87 Jeep. In 12 years, our show has become one of the largest and most popular regional all-AMC shows in the country.

Rooms are going fast so do it now!

For the Friday tour we're going to Fairway Chevrolet in Las Vegas to see their pretty amazing Chevy collection. I'm not a Chevy fan but I've been there twice and I think it's pretty cool. Definitely worth seeing! The drive to the dealership is pretty easy (maps will be provided). You'll probably be hungry when you return to Boulder City and we've got you covered. Once again our club (Southern Nevada AMC Club) will be hosting an awesome BBQ for show participants and guests at a beautiful park in Boulder City called Veteran's Memorial Park. We have a few of the covered gazebos reserved. You won't want to miss it!

Contact club President Larry Daum (mramc@risebroadband.net or 775-513-8112) if you have any questions.

We'll see you in November. VEGAS BABY!

Anyone know what they're charging for rooms at our special AMC rate?  Looks like they're normally $140 per night on the weekends, which is way too much for this place.

Booked my room at Hoover Dam Lodge.  I was told by a fellow AMCer that they told him they would no longer accept the special discount code (AMC2018) but they took it for me, which lowered the rate from $140 per night to $85 + tax.

See you there!

Due to logistics problems we going to a Golden Corral in Henderson from 2 PM to 4 PM on Friday afternoon instead of Veterans Park for the picnic. The Southern Nevada AMC club will be picking up the bill for all car show participants .  Unfortunately the picnic did just not work out for this year.  LRDaum

FYI The new I-11 bypass is now open around Boulder City. If your coming to the Family Reunion from the west (California) you want to take the business route, that will take you threw Boulder City the old way. If you miss the turn off then you have to go an extra 9 miles to exit 2 on I-11 and do a 180 under the old road and back another mile or west to the Hoover Dam Lodge.

If your coming from the east (Arizona) you need to get off at I-11 exit 2. I've not been on I-11 east of exit 2 but I believe coming that way you will need to take exit 2 . thanks LRDaum

Jim, It is the same for the North as the west since the road only really runs east to west threw Boulder City. LRD

The only different thing would if some one came from Laughlin ,NV as the road I believe hooks into I-11, but not sure. Any way I can not see the advantage of any coming from Arizona that way. LRDaum

No, It's pretty straight shot from McCarren to Hoover Dam Lodge just try and remember to take  the business route threw Boulder city and turn at the traffic light toward Hoover Dam. The Hoover Dam Lodge is just a few miles from the Hoover dam . I'm thinking 5 or 6 miles from the Lodge to the Dam. The road from the Lodge to the Dam wines a good bit.  And yes the Lodge is a couple miles down the road from the main part of Boulder City. I hope my explanation does not cause more confusion then it solves. LRDaum

Pay attention to Larry. The main highway now bypasses Hoover Dam Lodge, so if coming from Arizona up Hwy 93 you need to take the Boulder City business exit almost as soon as you cross the Colorado River, otherwise it's 10 miles to the next exit… 20 miles round trip. Ask me how I know.
