Does anyone have any idea if I can swap a power steering gear from a 66 classic into my 69 javelin? I can get the setup for cheap, I assume the pumps are the same except for the mounting bracket, but I'm really more concerned with the steering gear. I'd like a bolt in, I don't want to get into any fabrication. Thanks in advance!

The 66 classic should be the same GM Saginaw 800 steering gear box but - the ratio is going to be off. In 66 the ratio is likely near 20:1 or worse the 24:1 and in 69 near 17:1 to 12:1. The swap would likely work but the steering will not be good.
The quicker ratio box is much better in the Javelin and there are many donors from Camaros to Jeeps that are bolt in Saginaw 800 boxes.
Pumps are "likely" the same but the S6 may have a smaller sheave then the V8 and have a lower pressure setting. You need to look at the whole combination of what you have and what you want to achieve.

Thanks Lyle. It was cheap so it's on my shelf. Probably never use it but at least it won't be reincarnated as a prius battery. Thanks!
