Hi Don:

I may want to sell some parts at All-AMC Day. If I get my act together, can I pay the vendor registration fee on game day?

i`ll probably get some slack for this but if they joined this event with a mopar event it would be awesome....it`s only fair they let us in on there event`s...For some reason the event has gotten smaller not bigger...i enjoyed myself last year but there was only around 20 amc`s....And i like “REAL” racing not when a car launches get`s delayed to raise the et and goes that BS racing....It`s funny when i used to go to West Hampton   and Englishtown when the bike`s came out i would get lunch...Now its when the delayed cars stage i walk away....

Anthony we're getting older. Can't change progress. I raced a few times at NY National. It was great times. Most racers then were hard core, not a lot of monied guys having stuff built. Time progressed and tech. and costs rose. I started again in 1977. Ran my first gremlin in Street then Heavy and then Pro ET. That was a fun class. Index was 11.00 to 11.99. I quit in 1994 after they dropped Heavy and progressivly made Pro 9.00 to 15.00. Built my second gremlin with a 258 and ran R to T/SA till 2015. All the BS rules changes, unequal HP ratings and into of the New cars was the final straw for me. My friend from Mass. runs the gremlin now. He has to compete with the late 1970' to 1980's mustang that got HP reduced to 130 for the 302. The gremlin was as low as 155 but got bumped back up to 160. Total BS.
I always likes doing car shows and cruise in's. That's what I'm shooting for in 2018 with the American wagon. Yours is a gasser, mine will have a Modified Production theme.

The first show at Cecil, I was watching teh cars race and I thought they broke. Then the next ones did the same thing and on and on. I walked away. That's not racing. Larry finally told me about the delay boxes. Phony BS. Just race the cars or go home.

Later!

What happened to all of the enthusiasm surrounding this show? This is a great show & swap meet! I am driving 7 hours to attend.

I will have a lot of parts in the vending area...

Sorry Joe, but unless Tony drags the trailer 3,000 miles across country, it's hard to get too excited over it.

It never fails to hit on a weekend I simply can't come.

The boat has to come out on Saturday to get it to the shop on Sunday for winterizing. I'ts probably closer to go to Cecil than all the towing I will be doing on Saturday and Sunday!

Thanks to Mid-Atlantic Classic AMX Club for a really fun event Saturday. The Show field had I'd estimate around 30 AMC's which isn't a bad turn out, but the RACING had lots of AMC cars, so add the two together and it works to be a great AMC Show.

The Racing was spectacular, seeing many 8 second quarter mile runs which seems to be where it's at these days, many 10's and stock's running 14's in brackets. Besides the AMC's there were several pro racers doing 164 MPH runs. I guess technology is rapidly changing what it takes to be competitive.

I'm not a racer (other then years ago an AutoCrosser) in the days when if you could do 14's in a quarter you were feared. LOL  The weather was a little windy and mostly cloudy Saturday making for a comfortable and dry outdoor experience.
