I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this before here on the forum, but there's this franchise of racing video games called the Forza series.  They take cars both old and new, and put them in this game where you can race around in which ever car you choose, and you can play with friends on a server against whichever car they're driving.  They have large variety which leads me to why I've brought this up.

Forza has a 1970 Rebel 'Machine', '71 Javelin AMX, '73 Gremlin X, and a '77 Pacer X.  The game's visuals are so good they're almost life-like, and the attention to detail is spot on.  They really did their homework on them and it's great to see AMC finally getting some recognition!  Anybody else heard of this?

I am not a gamer, but noticed lots of videos of these AMC products on youtube when searching for other AMC videos. They seem to be pretty popular, so the younger crowds may at least have some familiarity with AMC body styles. Kind of neat to see.

We MUST raise a youth of other AMC fans!!!  Which reminds me, could somebody ever get the rights to AMC and resurrect our beloved brand?  I hear it's impossible, but if done proper I think AMC could be the clever, innovative, tasteful, car company it was and get people interested.

As for bringing Forza to Kenosha; as much as I've love to go I can't, I'm stuck in New Jersey, haha.  You bring it if you want to, you and everyone else can enjoy! ;)

Forza also has my daily driver in it (Fiesta St),
so my son and I each set up games with 71 Javelin AMX's and Fiesta ST's in them to match my cars.....

only problem is you can buy options for the cars,
and my son made his AMX all wheel drive with an LS engine in it
 :-(
Where did I go wrong!? Lol

Taking people away from the car events to go play a video game may be moving backwards haha

I've seen these videos on YouTube, also. They look pretty real.
Here is a picture of one of their cars. A 1971 401 Javelin AMX. I think I've seen this car in person at Gettysburg.

Tell your son the Javelin is perfect as is (and in real life too).  I've heard reviews about the Javelin in Forza and people love it!  It's the most well balanced specs than any other car in the entire game, and overall people like its appearance.  Thumbs Up

That sounds great that you and your son play against each other in your cars!  My dad is the owner of a '85 Grand Wagoneer and the original owner of his '72 Javelin.  I'd like to get a copy of Forza someday so we can race too.  Forza has a '91 Wagoneer that looks pretty nice.

I just recently purchased that '71 AMX in Forza from the guy who owned for the past 13 years in Phoenix. Microsoft contacted him and took 1000's of pictures to model it.

So any of you can drive my AMX anytime you want........Smile

Wish someone would add the 68, 69 or 70 body style with the T/A paint to one of the driving games. Better yet, just put the Donahue Javelins in there.

Since this was posted, the newer version of the game, Forza Horizon 4, has been released. First of all, let me just say that this is Dan's son who is posting this comment. The latest version of the game has removed the AMC Pacer and the AMC Rebel Machine in replacement for the 1974 AMC Hornet. In the game, people can make paint jobs that they can upload online for other people to use, in my 1971 Javelin AMX, I found a Mark Donahue race paint job for it! Clearly showing that people are aware of AMC.

We are also a Playstation family, but this game has me intrigued... if I happen to see a smoking deal this black friday, I may have to get a Xbox just for this game... Can't believe I just said that... (sigh)

The X-box one's can be had pretty cheap,
I bought one with Forza for myself, then bought a refurb Xbox one for like half the price of the first one so my son and I would each have one.
They're pretty dusty now, just coming out for the occational Forza game, but look around for refurbs on sites like Woot.com and Newegg.

BTW,
I bought a second PS4Pro today to have in the house,
I think it's factory defect sounds like a hovercraft with a bent fan blade Ouch

Going back to the store tomorrow Confused

^$199 for a refurb on Amazon was the first one I found, but you can do better if you are patient and keep looking.

I noticed no difference between the new and the refurb I bought, other than the box it came in.

you can get it on PC direct from MS, or through Steam

Forza Motorsport 7 also has the Javelin - Machine - Pacer line-up.

Even managed to find a 1971 Trans-Am livery for the Javelin

Had to race it around Lime Rock right away LOL

My brother is big in to the on line racing thing.  If you see a red white and blue any kind of car with number 66 on it, it is more than likely his.

Microsoft used my 71 AMX to model the one in Forza.  They took 1000s of pictures of it and asked for the 360 emblems to be swapped for 401 emblems.  Also the car in the game is a 4-speed which they changed (for game play) from my Automatic.

Wow! That's pretty awesome!. I need to fire up Forza again.
