That is very sad news....

My deepest condolences go out to his family. I've known Mark, through the hobby, for a number of years. He was a great asset to the AMC hobby and I was proud to call him a friend.

I met Mark at a car show in June of 1982 and we have been friends ever since.   many many laughs and parts swaps and sharing knowledge or even just a call to learn something I needed to find out.
his kids and my kids knew eachother as well as our parents all knew eachother   so deep sympathy goes out to George, Michael and Christy

Thanks, Kristie!
Nice to see a post with Dad's Forum "name" showing up!

I grew up in Fremont, at Grace Lutheran, with Mark. My '62 Rambler came from your great grandpa's dealership. So did the '69 Javelin I learned to drive on.

Peace to you and your family as you remember and give thanks for Dad's life!

Paul Mittermaier

Sad to hear of his passing. Never met or talked to him, but it's pretty obvious from all the those that did; that he was a super guy. Wish I had gotten the opportunity to know him.

Thank you everybody for your wishes, my dad's car is most definitely going to be at Cleveland, it's just a start. My dad got the car this far and we are sure not giving up. The AMC world is now my heart and soul. I am proudly going to show my dad's cars off because he was proud of the work that he did. I still hope to hear and see someone, my dad may be gone but he will not be forgotten. My brother and I were raised up in the AMC world and that's where I'm staying, some of you guys watched me and my brother grow up, and see us who we are today, and I planned on staying there. It's a big part of my life and a even bigger part of my dads, so count me in. Thank you everybody and you guys don't be strangers.
Sincerely,
Kristie Wymer

I am so  sorry for your loss. Even though I never met your dad I felt connected to him through our cars. He and I are the same age, and seem to have quite a lot in common down to our cars. What a great legacy he leaves behind. God bless you and your family.
