Me and my '72 project Javelin are getting acquainted as I find out what's there, what's not, what works and what doesn't. I noticed the grill seems to only be attached at the top. So, there is obviously something missing at the bottom...anyone know what I need? Where to get it? I think this might not even be a '72 grill. Advice? Thanks!!

It would appear that everything is missing.

OK, well that's not exactly what I was expecting. Can you give me a bit more info on the definition of everything? I guess it'll help me when I look for all of that. Thanks!

You have a 1973-74 grille there.

Question: if I cannot find the proper grill, is there a way to attach this grill to the car at the lower areas with some (missing) parts?

My scanner isn't working again so I'm sorry for the poor quality, but here is the 1972 grille and brackets. I assume the newer grille would mount the same way.

| Last night I waited 5 or more minutes for the picture to load and it never did. My internet isn't the best but it works most of the time. That's why I waited for a picture. I am sorry for such a rude post. To night I clicked on the topic and your picture is there instantly. Go figure, and welcome to the forum..

Just out of curiosity does the AMX option grill simply attach over the standard 72 grill???? How does it mount if it does? So you basically get 2 grills with an AMX?

When did the car get shiny paint? I thought it was in matt black primer.

OK, it is preferably to use a 71-74 AMX grill, or a 71 Javelin grill. For making the mesh screen fit, you would need to cut out the integral turn signal light assembly to allow the round light assemblies to fit. I do believe once you have that done, you can mount the mesh grill in place. Just you will need to custom fit the round light assemblies to fit on the front of the grill, or from behind.
