The new Harbor frieght Bead rollers are only 3/8 steel where the old ones were 1/2 So if you need one plan on braceing it. Unless you only work with Very thin material.
That being said Here is my Slightly Modified harbor frieght bead roller
Variable speed pedal with Forward and reverse.
 The most important brace is this boxing as the two horizontal braces did very little to stiffen it up .
The flex was coming from the back
 And this is what it looked like new

Wow, nice work. I bought a 12" version years ago and it does a nice job without bracing. I figured I'd never really need to go in farther than I can get with the 12" and never have. The motor and gear box is a Boston gear 1/6 hp 9 to 90 volt dc .
I had it laying around so I found a use for it .
I converted the AC current to DC with a simple Diode bridge and added a toggle to allow forward and reverse
