I found this car in a warehouse where it was sitting for about 18 years. Im finally getting to it to make it drivable everyday. Original paint, original interior, matching # 390 and fact. mod pack. Runs good. Put on some new exhaust, new front seat coversare getting done now, tires and some new front end parts are next. I want to keep it as original for as long as i can.

Nice find!!!  Keep it original, from you pic, does it have Hood Scoops, they were all offered separately,  but it would be unusual to have roof spoiler and rocker mouldings without the hood scoops.  Please post more pics, we would love to see it.

I use to have a Mod BBB 69.  I still think they were the most beautiful car AMC made.  I say keep it original as they can only be that way once.

Need to find a posi though asap! Ill be selling the parts car soon if anybody is interested.

It does look like the one that was on the S J Craigslist.

There has been a BBO one on there for months on and off as well.

Nice, I called and spoke to the seller. My friend went there with a trailer to pick it up but I guess the seller was confused and was showing my friend his other cars. When asked about the Javelin, he said it was sold. I then saw it re-posted a couple days later, what the heck? Called, and I guess you already picked it up. Good find!

Of all the cars I wish I hadn't sold, and there are at least 20, I think about the 70 BBB 390/4-sp Donohue Javelin at least 3 times per week still. It's been over 8 years now. Nice find, and don't ever sell it you can find another solution.

looking good! Say what you want about drum brakes but my 69 stopped on a dime as long as the system was in proper working order. Once. Then they needed to cool. Drums are better than discs which is why big rig trailers are still drum brakes, they just have a fade "issue" which is why I'm going to scarebird manual discs eventually.

Wow, what a cool Javelin! A member of our club had a BBB 290 Javelin back in the mid 80's and it had a perfect interior and was in great shape. It was for sale for around $900 and many of us passed on it. Wish I could go back in time. Keep posting the photos. That's a great find.

put on some new headlight bezels and a much nicer grill than the one i had. Thanks Gordy Chilson! Checked all the lights and they are still working. Does anybody have that chrome trim that goes around the bumper on big bad cars??

NOS anodized aluminum BB bumper trim was going for $800.00 years ago. Have not seen any for sale for quite awhile.

Someone was making repo trim, but I don't know if they are anymore.

Well finally getting back to the car. Exhaust leaks are gone, did alittle tuning on the carb and picked up a nice set of wheels. Figured they'll give it a real nice trans am style. Just need to blast and paint them, get some longer studs and good to roll. Car just hit 62k miles as long as theres no 1 before that 6.
