A place holder and starting point for everything and anything anyone ever wanted to know about lowering plates, weren't afraid to ask, but had trouble finding the answers........... I'll add all the great info the members have posted over the years, copy it in here, but if folks have FACTUAL information, a complete "how to", blueprints, etc. - please feel free to donate to the cause with technical information. As this is to be the absolute bible on lowering plates, please, no "I think this might work", I hope you understand....... Also - this will only include proven and safe methods, so don't show grade 2 WalMart bolts or duct tape in any pictures. Seriously, though - all I've ever seen posted here to date related to lowering plates has been really good info, totally safe and tried methods. I'd feel perfectly comfortable using what's been posted here in the past so it's not a reflection on what has been, only a plea for any future information. I'll post the "best of" here, and include links to any threads or posts I find related to the topic so that folks can see for themselves who has done what and how. For now I'm just going to toss in links and photos, will organize later.
