I little while ago i got a mechanical oil pressure as well as an electric temp, the temp was easy, here's where it gets tricky. I have a 6" of thick 1/8" copper line, and was wondering the best place to run it, and and a way of reducing vibration. Anyone have some pictures of it? it would be greatly appreciated.

Phast1, I cheated a little on mine. I ran it inside as rubber fuel line so it blends in with the motor instead of bright copper. Mine runs under my AC, behind the distributer and along the top drivers side of the intake. It shares the hole with the speedo cable.

Mine is copper and also runs thru the speedo cable hole.

Now I wanted to run both the oil light & the gauge the PO installed and this is how I did it.

I ran a 12” flex hose for a grease gun good for 1500 psi from the adapter on the block up the front of the motor / head to the valve cover area. I used a “T” on the hose and installed the light sender and the gauge copper on the other side. This copper line runs along the valve cover/intake to the fire wall. I made holders loops that use the 2 valve cover bolts to hold the copper line. I also used some vacuum hose at the loops so the copper would not move around too much. I looped the copper line at the back of the motor/head/fire wall before running it across the back of the motor to the speedo cable hole.

Here is a picture of the hose with the T and light sender but before the copper line is run.

Now all this will be pulled off as I am replacing all the stock gauges with custom ones. The stock senders will be replaced with new ones and because they are electric I will need to run the harness for each sender. Good thing is the speedo does not use a cable so that hole is open for the harness to run thru.

Thanks for the advice! I ran mine through a 3/16 I.D. vacuum line. Really happy to see 52 lb's of oil pressure at hot idle!

The line also stops the vibration of the copper against other items limiting noise.
