I forgot to tell billd where the ads are from. They all came from the Rochester Post-Bulletin newspaper, in Rochester, Mn. There were some from the mid-50's, the grand opening one is from Sept. 1963. Others are Sept. '66 and '67.
Just go to your local library and check the newspapers on microfilm. I've taken some the ads and had them enlarged to make garage art. Some cool stuff on there!

| About half way down, the Jim Holdiman ad cracks me up. When I was younger, Jim Holdiman was the sponser for the Sunday Night Movie on KWWL, channel 7 in Waterloo, Iowa. He would do the ads himself and would stand so stiff, with his arms across his chest, and had no expression on his face. The first time I met him I couldn't believe this was the same person, he was laughing and all smiles. |

Have these print ads from the past. Al Johnson was the generic name in place, then the dealerships would have their information typeset into the ad for printing. I added the color to them, and the last one shows where I would put your name and info in place making you a dealership!
