1970 javi, looking forward to seeing your Javelin! I hope to have all the 1970 model year cars parked together.

Keith, I hope you can make it!

We have a really nice place for the Get Together, lots of room to spread out, all on grass.

AMoCoLite, & eddiebell, As long as it is AMC powered you are welcome to attend. Just be sure to open the hood to avoid any confusion!  Or, if you have an AMC or Jeep body powered by a brand X engine, you are welcome as well.

Even if you don't bring an AMC or Jeep, come to check out the cars. Boring brand X car parking will be to the left as you pull in the driveway, walk up the drive a couple hundred feet to where the AMC's & Jeep are parked.

Truck & trailer parking will be to the right as you pull in the drive.

Me too. The weather forecast looks good so far. We're going over on Saturday and hanging out with Buster (Scene One) and we'll both be there on Sunday. I hope Wooster Kevin can make it. Unfortunately work has him out of town till Saturday.

I have mine all ready for the meet up just looking for some back road driving maps to do a scenic route

That's always a good choice if you have the time. We're taking Rt 30 (Lincoln Highway) over on Saturday and might take it back since it runs right thru town.

That would be a blast to drive to the meet but unfortunately we will be trailering ours, geared way too low for a 2+ hr. trip and I wouldn’t be able to hear when I got there.Tongue

Eddie, I don't have any scenic routes to recommend from the Ohio - PA line to Allison Park. At least coming from the Cleveland area. The best I can do is once you are into PA on the turnpike, take the Cranberry exit, then ramp to RT 79 south. RT 79 south to RT 910 exit. Turn left on RT 910, go 15-20 miles on RT 910 to right on Middle Rd. Middle Rd 5 miles or so to L on Cedar Run Rd, look for the AMC sign. RT 910 is a nice twisty 2 lane without a lot of traffic, just a few traffic lights & stop signs. Same with Middle Rd. That's the best I have.

Keith, have you driven the PA stretch of RT 30 from the state line to Somerset before?

1970 Javi, you are in the heart of some of the nicest roads in PA! 255, 555, 120 are some I remember. Lots of room for truck & trailer parking to the right as soon as you pull in the driveway, then bring the Javelin the rest of the way up the drive.

Scott, I am right between 255 and 219, 120 and 555 are very close and all are beautiful cruising roads although 555 is always jammed up about this time of year with people checking out the elk. I look forward to meeting you and hopefully I can put some faces to the names on the forum. We will have the dark blue 70 with the roof spoiler, she’s been rode hard and put away wet but still the most fun of our toys to drive.

No. I've done from here to the turnpike when we came out a couple of years ago. Thought I would go all the way since Buster lives close to it.

We are thinking of running the OH 14 to OH 165 to run on the Veterans Memorial Bridge to PA 65 South then the rest just Backstreets

If anyone needs any 71-74 Javelin parts, pm me. I have a bunch of interior parts to sell. Tan AMX upper door panels, a console and a bunch of other stuff that I could bring with me.

Well, the 4th annual Pittsburgh AMC Get Together was a great one!! Thanks to all who came & made it a lot of fun. If you didn't make it, there is always next year!

Have to start by thanking Christy & Greg for hosting the GT at their compound, & all the work you & the family put in to it. Thanks to https://www.facebook.com/ron.petrosky.9?fref=gs&__tn__=%2CdK-R-R&eid=ARD_eXmKlUDhGnEkAwNWDp_G6Zgy2MtsAY3h4lwhKD99QClXS8Q7lTxVKcSmRWxZ-BYw0d7mQ0QknPgu&dti=1110346779152664&hc_location=group" rel="nofollow - Ron  for bringing the excellent cookies. I got the first one out of the box, & as I was leaving, I got the last one! Thanks to everyone who came, from near & far, if you brought a car or not. The cars are great, but it is the wonderful people you meet that really make an event like this.

It was really nice meeting 1970 javi, & his blue on blue Javelin. Thanks to forum members scene one, kenosha kicker, eddiebell & mopar guy for coming! I wish I would have had more time to talk with you folks, but it was a busy day. Probably more forum members were there, but it is hard to keep track of everyone.

I forgot to mention to you Keith, next year we are celebrating the 1971 model year. You have a 1971 Javelin you are working on, don't you? Have it ready to go for next year! I hope to have my 1971 Javelin AMX out of the garage for the first time in 15 years for next year's GT.

I'll have a post started in the pictures section in a few minutes.

Thanks to you and Greg for putting it together! It was fun meeting forum members and talking cars. I'd like to make a suggestion - start it at noon. The 3 hours goes to fast!! Big smile

Yes I'm putting a 71 together but it's tentatively sold so we'll see how that goes....

Keith, the BBO Jeep showed up at noon, & got the best parking spot. For a Jeep that is. Greg & I will discuss an earlier start time. It is a lot to pack in to 3 hours. I'm open to all suggestions & comments!
