“Remembering our AMC Dealer”....
July, 2019, is an important milestone month for Linda and her Javelin....
“45” years ago, on July 16, 1974, we picked up her special ordered new Javelin, from Hooker AMC, in Sherman, Texas.
Unlike most of the old facilities, that housed AMC Dealerships, throughout the country, which have long since been demolished, or completely renovated to look nothing like they did when open, the actual building, that housed Hooker AMC, at 118 West Pecan, in Sherman, Texas, is still standing and the interior is basically untouched from the 1970’s.
Here is a photo of the co-owners, brothers Howard Hooker and A.R. Hooker, with their wives, and also a few photos, that we took, when we walked thru the old vacant facility.
These photos brought back fond memories from this month, “45” years ago....

G4 Plum exterior with 421Q Black Uganda Interior. Purchased on July 16, 1974 from Hooker AMC, Sherman, TX for $4500.20

dltowers - Thank You ! for your valuable time going to the location, and taking and posting the pictures.
I like this sort of history and pictures, and I'm sure many other do also, Thanks for posting.
