The parts & diagram that came with my new power steering pump seem to imply that there was once an internal filter in the reservoir? The kit came with an inline filter.
Is the internal filter still available or desirable? - W

If I remember right, there was just a screen internally to catch the big stuff. Most were removed over the years. If you're not concerned about an original look, run the modern external filter, it's better than OE anyway.

Don't remember ever seeing a filter in the Eaton PS pumps.

Long time AMC fan. Ambassador 343, AMX 390, Hornet 360, Spirit 304 and Javelin 390. All but javelin bought new.
