Again I need some help please.

Have a guy who has a power disc setup for sale and has asked me to give him an offer. I wanna be fair but don't wanna give away money either. Can anyone help with an estimated value keeping in mind probably gonna have to get new rotors, rebuild the calipers and new master but I want the old parts to match up. second question, other than backing plates, brackets, calipers, rotors, booster, master, push rod, and prop block, Is there anything else you would recommend I ask for?

SPINDLES. It's not a complete setup without the spindles, IMO.
And no not all disk spindles are the same and not all drum spindles are the same so get the spindles that go with the setup from that car. Otherwise you may end up looking for a correct pair OR machining your spindles, or spacing things to fit. Without knowing the cars involved and the years of the cars involved, can't really say much more.
They ain't all the same by any stretch. Even in the later years AMC changed brakes......

I paid $150 for the spindles, brackets, booster, master 10 years ago.
That stated, if you are changing from manual to power brakes at the same time, you want the brake pedal and linkage - if it will fit your car. If not, measure the leverage on the brake pedal for future reference.
You want the master to rebuild or to know what a new one should be. It has not much value other then this.
Hope your buying something you can get new rotors and calipers for - if a one off (unless restoration modification), I'd pass and go scarbird.
Yes you want all the rest you mentioned. It's always easier to scrap what you don't need then find something for an AMC!

I found most parts for AMC brakes can be bought through rockauto - or even O'Reilly's....... but there may be diminishing availability as time passes.
I found new rotors, new calipers, new pads, and more - even locally.
I've had no trouble finding all of the wheel cylinders and calipers and master cylinders at rockauto-  just watch to be sure their listing is correct.

For my 70 I sent the calipers out and got a lift-time guarantee rebuild on them.

But again - we don't know year and model here - or do we?

set up is off a 74 and gonna be put on my 71. planned on rebuilding the calipers if I can to try to keep as much AMC as possible. will you share who did your calipers?

Thanks to all who for your input so far. Still looking for some more input on the value though. 150 ten yrs ago might equate to 225 today? Fair? Dunno will have to wait for pics. Opinions please

www.calipersonline.com I think.
With the four piston setup that was used on the early Javelins they sleeve them with stainless, and if you buy pads from them, too - you get lifetime if I recall.
You'll be getting later type brakes but might still be worth looking into them.

I put heavy-duty Kelsey Hayes disk brakes on the front of my 73 Javelin.

A '74 set up could be Bendix or Kelsey Hayes.
What condition are the parts?
If you have to buy rotors and calipers and master I'd say $300 max. (and like was mentioned, get the brake pedal too!)
If the rotors and so forth were more recent, maybe a bit more.
But once you're looking at $500-600 you might as well look at a new Scarebird set up, unless originality is your goal.

I paid $200 for a Matador just to get the disc brakes.
