I converted our Gremlin to front disks using parts from a '79 Spirit. The brakes are manual and they stop tremendously. It is my opinion that such a swap is not necessary. Also, I do not mind the absence of a vacuum booster in the engine bay.
Again, this is just my opinion and based on the Grem running a built 401. |

Any 76-83 Hornet, Concord, Spirit or Gremlin with power brakes will work. All those years had disc brakes in front. Earlier should work as well, but some had drum brakes. Drum power boosters aren't as strong as disc, but will still be better than manual. An 80+ Eagle booster will also work. You may need to get the pedal as well as the booster, bracket, and master cylinder. The pedal is sometimes different in more ways than just the width of the foot piece. The bolt hole is usually in a different location and the angle of the pedal may be different.
