Well I was about to take the AMX out for its break in runs last night and double checked the fuel inlet fitting on the carter super pump and it was still wet.  It leaks past the threads somehow. I have a brass (what should be 1/4" NPT fitting , unless the brass fittings have different angle threads) and it leaks much slower than before.  It tightens up fine I mean really tight, so maybe I should just put a gasket that will stop any fuel once the fitting is fully tight?  I dont want to use teflon tape because I have read that it dissolves in gasoline and dont want that getting to the carb needle and seat.  I did order a aeroquip 1/4" NPT to -6 fitting that I am going to use instead of the brass fittings and attache a aeroquip slip on fitting to that.  Maybe the aeroquip threads will seal better.  Thats what I used on the outlet and it never leaked.  I'll probably take the car around the block at least to get the transmission fluid topped off and check the shifting action.
