not sure if this would be a similar setup for a pacer but you can always call scarebird and find out. just some different options to think about |

Hey Man! I am the guy with the front suspension. I don't think I am allowed to talk price here in the forum until I get 30 posts but if you leave your contact info I will call you I would be willing to part this front end out.

the subframe is def. going to be different. according to frank the spindles and everything out should be the same. im guessing from small body amc cars such as gremlin/spirit/hornet/concord. you can also convert them to ford ranger brakes by buying an adapter and then replacement parts are at your fingertips at the nearest autopart stores.

Hey guys, what are you asking for that front suspension clip? I have a 47 studebaker pick up in my shop that has a pacer front clip under it,but it has drum brakes. My customer wants it converted to disk brakes. So im in search for the parts to convert his to disk brakes. I was told that pacer suspension and brakes are different from other Amc cars. Or can you use the spindles, backing plates, caliper mounts, calipers and rotors from any AMC car? Never ran across this before so any help would be great!
Thanks, Marc Twisted Customs

Pacer brakes and spindles are the same as all other 2WD AMC cars, so you don't have to have Pacer specific parts. Not trying to mess up a sell, just saying!!

I bought the truck about a year ago. the only place I have taken it is a show in Clinton NJ. I can't imagine the previous owner taking it all the way to Hershey.
This truck was so hacked together its a wonder it made it out of his driveway. When I pulled the motor, out of the 6 bolts holding the motor in....1 was missing, 2 where broken off inside the block, and the other 3 where only hand tight. And as far as the wiring goes...well lets just say my 4 year old daughter can make nicer spaghetti! Heres another example of what I found... What wrong with this pic![]() ![]() ![]() Ans he claimed to be a restoration specialist ![]() |
