This is what I currently have, I don't think it's original is it? It won't tighten up enough and rattles around when I drive.

Looking for original or period piece that won't rattle. I have a 1 barrel carter carb.

Never seen one like that on a Rambler. I can't tell you what one looked like on a '58 but I can show you what one looks like off a '62.

Thanks for the reply. Looks the same as this one from a low mile 1959. I'm guessing this won't be an easy piece to find?

That's the same as mine. I have this one if you need it. I no longer have the car or the engine.

Would a 58 have an oil bath air cleaner stock?

How does it mount to the carb? What goes in the hole on the side?

It mounts with stud up through the center like most air cleaners. Nothing goes in the hole in the side. That's just the air inlet to the filter.
Most of the AMCs I've messed with aren't that old but I can't say I've ever seen one with an oil bath.

Super Wagon hang on to that air cleaner. It's from a chevy of the 40's. Single barrel carb. My 49 chevy has one exactly like it. Someone will need it.

Mine doesn't have a stud. Wonder if one can be added or if I have to stick to the clamp on type?
