Got the body work on the dash completed. I removed the heater controls and  the ash tray and filled in those areas.....

The radio speakers arrived on got them installed......I could not have done it with the back window in, thats for sure.

5 1/4" was what I went with.

Tomorrow looks like a paint day. I will get the marine epoxy primer on the floor repairs. Then its on to priming all the inside painting and the door jams.

I am also ready to start on the aluminum dash as my wood template seems to be working out good.

Seems as if everything has been a slow go but progress anyway.......

Got the marine primer on the floor repairs and a top coat of Rustoleum...

Welded in the nut for the 3 point seat belts....

I got the grade 8 bolts for the seats. I had to grind down the heads on the front two bolts so the slider track will pass over them. My seat belts were to arrive on Saturday but they didn't make it. My local PO is not to sporty. They will be here tomorrow but won't arrive until about 4 PM.

I have held up on cutting the dash piece. I need my Vintage Air unit installed to make sure the radio will clear. I might have to swap the AC controls and radio around for clearance.

After doing a bunch of measuring a Vintage Air Gen II unit is going to be to big. I will go with a Gen II Compact. Plan on ordering that next week. I might even end up with a small glove box.....

It has been a bit to cold to do any spray painting. Highs have only been in the mid 40's and not much improvement in the near future.

I did cut and fit a plate today to block off the intake air for the stock heater. It came in from the cowl. Also been doing alot of clean up. Got the quarter window and front fender water drains cleaned.

Having AMC Fun,
Ollie

Seats belts arrived !!!!!!!

Seats and belts installed. Everything is hard bolted in......

I am satisfied with the belts from  http://seatbeltplanet.com

I had to bring the belt on the drivers side up thru the seat like this. The seat due to the seat bottom adjustment is made different.

Seats out tomorrow and got to start priming the interior and door jams.

Ollie
