Maybe because the concept of matching gears was unnecessary to begin with and they weren't selling many.  In 40 years of amx'ing I have never had an issue with dist gears.
they call me Capt RETIRED!

To date 2163 gear sets sold since 2005. Matched gears saved thousands of motors from aftermarket goof ups. At 2:00 another gear hobber stepped forward.
We are just about to forge new AMC V8 crankshafts.. please check here

Thanks for supplying them for as long as you did Matt. I applaud your perseverance amongst a plethora of naysayers.

So you are going to continue to produce the matched gear sets with another supplier?

I agree with this. Years ago I bought a DUI distributer for my amx and have never had a gear issue.

For those who feel they are not necessary that is your choice. I had a new MSD gear come apart a couple of years ago and no problem since putting Matts set on. Price of taking engine apart and cleaning up damage was MUCH more than gearset. cost.
It is up to buyer what insurance we try to purchase .
