I've tested it on one piece of 18 guage and it worked well putting a slight flange aroun the edge. Doing a mini-tub on my Classic, and I'm sure I'll get PLENTY of oportunity to use it!

Nice, there's a bunch of people who have bought that model and beefed it up a bit with good results. I've always wanted to give that a go!

Here are a few links:

I even figured out how to cut louvers with mine, you offset the beadings dies from each other, one will cut through the metal. Not good cosmetic louvers, but functional louvers.
But with a lot of practice, and careful set-up, you can make the louvers look presentable. If you re-inforce it, it will even make full depth beads in 14 gauge. I'm going to motorize mine, it's hard to use by myself, hold a big panel perfectly straight, and turn the hand crank at the same time.

I'm gonna go the handle to wheel crank conversion for sure. For now, I think 18 gauge capacity is fine. If I want to do thincker stuff I'll do the reinforcing,

I got one also...works good! I installed a 3/4" plywood "disc" about 24" dia. right over the handle, what a difference!! a little duct tape on the edge and done!
