  Maybe this is the reason,not sure. On the build sheet there is a box next to ship that says SL with CL under it. I have been told the S in the box neans sold wich would have been an ordered car and maybe assigned a number at the point of order. Just a guess,   Rick

Love the pictures of this rare 71.  It is definitely my favorite color combination.  I’m in the slow process of starting on my 72 401 4-spd Canary yellow with green corduroy interior.  Need to see that other fellow Amc’er are moving forward to motivate me!!!  70Badmask
